Shailha Alam

Shailha Alam is the child of Bengali immigrants. born and raised in New York City. As a first generation college student, she is currently a rising senior at Columbia University studying Computer Science and Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies. Shailha is passionate about all things regarding diversity, especially on the big screen. She previously worked at MACRO as a Film and TV Development intern. This summer she will be at WME’s TV Lit Department and The Black List under the Academy Gold Rising Program. She served as Diverso's Executive Director in 2021-22.
