Programming, Qualifications, and Benefits
The Diverso Fellowship is taking all of the best features of our past initiatives and creating a bold new program to boost new writers. Our goal is to empower the next generation of underrepresented storytellers to change the face of the entertainment industry. This year’s program will run virtually for 10 weeks from June - August.
Fellows must be:
Must be a writer from a Minority Group (Racial Minorities, LGBTIA+, Neurodivergent, etc.)
Must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution, graduating no sooner than Winter 2024
Must be able to commit 20 hours a week to working on selected projects for the duration of the fellowship.
Must submit a TV Pilot or Feature Film Script to work on for the duration of the fellowship.

Each fellow will receive a $6,000 stipend to support them for the duration of the fellowship.

Fellows will meet with Studios and Production Companies to share their stories and discuss different aspects of the entertainment industry.

Each fellow will be paired with a mentor who is actively working in the entertainment industry. Thier mentor will help them refine their script and advise them on how to transition from students to active working professionals.

Our writers will workshop their scripts throughout the program, receiving notes from program mentors, Diverso team members, and other fellows in their cohort.

Diverso prides itself on our community! Our Diverso Fellows will be welcomed to the expanding network of team members, past fellows, and industry professionals that make Diverso great. Even after the 10-week fellowship concludes, our fellows will have a community of creatives to support them in breaking into the industry.
