Nicole Viloria
Fellowship Coordinator
Yale University
Born and raised in Venezuela before immigrating to Miami at age 15, Nicole Viloria earned her A.A. in English Literature at Miami Dade Honors College and currently studies Comparative Literature at Yale University. At Yale, Nicole is a Staff Writer for the Yale Daily News and Co-President of Club Venezuela, drawing from her queer journey, love tragedies, and Venezuelan roots in her storytelling across fiction, poetry, and screenwriting. She has also served as a development intern at Narval Films and Baobab Studios, where she assisted with staffing writers for a show slated for Disney+. Inspired by her struggle to learn English, she facilitates English conversations with Ukrainian students through the nonprofit ENGin, where she trained over 5,000 volunteer teachers. When Nicole’s experiences become too cinematic for realism, she turns them into fiction.
