Logline: The son of a tribal chieftain and an enslaved Ethiopian woman, born into servitude, falls in love with his noble-born cousin just as their tribe is invaded by long-time rivals. The star-crossed lovers must battle seemingly immovable customs and impossible odds in order to be together in a progressive take on the beloved folktale romance of Antar and Abla.

Munir Atalla is a Palestinian-American writer and filmmaker with roots in Jordan and Texas. Informed by his background as an investigative reporter, Munir's narrative work explores unique subcultures across continents and time with a journalistic eye for detail and nuance.
