Matt Zhang is an actor and musician who was born in Toronto, raised in the Chicago suburbs, and spent childhood summers playing in the streets of Beijing. He graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University and studied a combination of Cognitive Studies, Computer Science, and Spanish. During his college summers, Matt competed on a renowned Chinese singing show (SUPERBOY 2017) and interned at MACRO and United Talent Agency. As the musical director of a top-ranking collegiate a cappella group, Matt has performed at Carnegie Hall (twice), the White House, America's Got Talent, The TODAY Show, and once helped to coordinate a world tour with performances in Dubai, Seoul, and San Francisco, traveling 25,000 miles in 12 days. In 2022, Matt is currently solo traveling to 20 different countries as a recipient of the Keegan Traveling Fellowship, a year-long fellowship reserved for 1-2 Vanderbilt seniors annually.
