Logline: A college student’s new weave hair isn’t 100% natural; it’s supernatural. After her grandmother’s tragic accident, she and the possessed hair get tangled up in an epic battle of good and evil in the hood.

A screenwriter based in NYC, Kristen has also lived in Cuba and France. Cultural nuance inspires her storytelling, which features disruptors occupying spaces they’re not meant to be in, utilizing skills they’re not supposed to have. Kristen was a script researcher on the 2020 Sundance World Cinema Documentary prize winner Epicentro. She is also the recipient of a 2023 Sloan Screenplay Grant and Jesse Thompkins III Screenwriting Award. Most recently, Kristen attended the Spring 2024 Cine Qua Non Storylines Lab.
