Julio Gomez, a Mexican-American from Los Angeles, is a Film and Media Studies major at Stanford with a focus on screenwriting. His passion for storytelling has led to development internships at production companies like Pressman Films and Diablo Comics, as well as writing for nonprofit media. At Stanford, he serves as a staff writer for the university paper, co-founded the Stanford Boxing Club, and sits on the board of Flying Horse Films--Stanford’s premier film organization. Committed to authentic portrayals of marginalized voices, Julio strives to challenge Hollywood stereotypes, embodying the values of his community—vigor, pride, and hard work.
