Jalissa Jackson

Jalissa is a queer African American costume designer, writer, and director. Raised between South Los Angeles and Orange County, she earned a B.A. in Theater-Design/Production from UCLA. At Diverso, she served as Director of Black Writers in Focus and later as Co-Executive Director, where she helped launch the Diverso Fellowship. She was selected as one of 28 participants from 1,500 applicants for Issa Rae’s inaugural ColorCreative: Find Your People Program.
