Logline: After being framed for an unsolved murder, three naive friends must go undercover to take down a powerful kingpin.


A Columbus, Georgia native, Ivan Rome is an MFA candidate at Columbia University concentrating in screenwriting/directing and the recipient of Columbia's inaugural Bobby Kashif Cox Memorial Scholarship. Currently an intern at Ryan Coogler's Proximity Media, Ivan was an inaugural Diverso’s Black Writers in Focus Fellow under the mentorship of Juel Taylor (THEY CLONED TYRONE, CREED II). He is also a former Narrative Programming Fellow at The Gotham and was selected for the SEEN Black Filmmakers Program sponsored by Facebook and The Blackhouse Foundation. He has produced shorts that have screened at Phoenix Film Festival, Toronto Black Film Festival, and New York African Film Festival. He is a storyteller passionate about writing narratives that illuminate the nuanced and multifaceted nature of black culture.
