Raised in Rockland, NY to a lineage of medical professionals, Imani Mullings prefers working with a pencil and paper over the stethoscope. An honors Screenwriting major and full ride merit scholarship receipient at Morgan State University, her narrative adventures throw fairytales and fables into a blender with westerns, medieval times, and ancient civilizations, churning out smoothies of odd yet fantastical goodness. At Morgan, she serves as the Head of Screenwriting and Directing for Underground Studios, the university’s premier student film organization. She was also selected as a Screenwriting Fellow in the inaugural year of HBCU Next, a highly selective fellowship program hosted by the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
