DOVES OF BIHAR
Logline: After a young Muslim woman is wrongfully divorced, she is forced into a temporary marriage with a stranger to remedy the reckless actions of her first husband.
Arianna is a Black and Pakistani writer who grew up in rural Pennsylvania. She is a recent graduate of Yale and AFI. After a brief and painful stint as a pre-medical student in college, Arianna decided to channel her Religious Studies and Psychology degrees into screenwriting. Interested in offbeat stories where young POC explore their social identities, Arianna credits her multicultural and multidisciplinary backgrounds for her passion of writing coming-of-age tales with a clash of cultures. Moving between comedy and drama, her work ultimately aims to celebrate underrepresented narratives that thwart expectations.
