RHAPSODY IN BLUE
Logline: In 1923, a poor, southern girl migrates north to Harlem in search of a mysterious, Creole musician. The odyssey catapults her into the world of jazz and into the hands of Miss Queenie, Harlem's most notorious crime boss.
Anndi is a NYC-based filmmaker drawn to stories of women and girls finding their power, where heart and humor intersect. Her Oscar-qualifying film Tender Thoughts had its world premiere at Tribeca and was made as a part of Lena Waithe’s Rising Voices program. Her previous short film Jelly, narrated by André Holland, was awarded the HBO Short Film Award at the 2023 American Black Film Festival. Additionally, the film won the Jury Award for Best African-American Student Filmmaker by the DGA.
